Personal Testimonials from Students & Clients

Read a selection of testimonials below to find out how my students and clients describe their experience of working with me. Let them tell you what they really think about how work...

I learnt so much about myself and how to regain unity with my body. The techniques we used allowed me to acknowledge and address long standing issues. It was the most valuable and fun experience I’ve had. I am a much stronger and more grounded Hollie!”
Hollie Howitt, Complementary Therapies, BSc Honours Student (UK)

“In the 1990s my life changed considerably. My 12 year marriage ended, my mother died followed by my father and I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis! All this happened whilst I was working full time and raising my two young daughters.

I met Michèle in 1996 when she joined the team I was working in. We worked together for a little while before we became good friends. A highly qualified and talented lady, Michèle helped me to deal with the difficulties I had in my life at that time. She was patient, non-judgmental and helped me to face uncomfortable home truths in a friendly, professional and understanding way. I would love to say that I have not had any challenges since then but I cannot. Life is not that easy!

Michèle has been there for me when I needed her help, guidance and friendship. She is a very knowledgeable lady with a wealth of life experiences in conventional and holistic coping methods. I am so proud to call Michèle my therapist, life coach, trainer but most of all friend and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who feels the need to reassess/modify their life/lifestyle.”
Tina Coulter NHS Coordinator (UK)

“Michèle was my clinical supervisor for a number of years and I found her always to be professional and inspirational in her input. Michèle has a powerful enthusiasm for whatever she undertakes. She is one of the most genuine people I have ever met and is totally trustworthy! It was clear from the work that we did together that she uses her expertise to empower those with whom she works, while bringing a wealth of wisdom and experience to the situation. She works from the heart, yet with an intellectual capacity to substantiate her input. She is also an excellent trainer and I would thoroughly recommend her as a practitioner.”
Bev Spiller Psychotherapist and Organisational Trainer (UK)

“I first met Michèle when I was in a treatment centre to address my drug and alcohol dependence. Michèle was employed as a counsellor and senior group worker; she worked with me in groups and in one to one sessions. I found her approach very supportive and helpful and she helped me look at and resolve personal and painful issues. I felt much supported by Michèle and she always encouraged me to value how I felt and to value myself as a person and a human being. She helped me with my confidence and self esteem and I’m grateful to her for helping me to begin the slow process to recovery.

What I learned from my experience in working with Michèle was that I was okay, I felt listened to and valued in the therapeutic relationship; I gained some understanding as to why I took drugs and gained much awareness of my behaviour and the source of these behaviours. I gained respect for myself and learned that I was important, that I had a voice and an opinion.

I think others could benefit from working with Michèle because she values what people say and does not pre-judge people. She is very objective but can also challenge if need be, she is dynamic and has a good energy and she encourages people to problem solve and encourages people to trust their own process and abilities. She is very confident and has a very professional approach.

I have learned much about myself on the road to recovery and self realization and although I am responsible for the changes in my life, Michèle has greatly contributed to this and supported me wholeheartedly in my decisions and has always encouraged me to value myself and my potential.”
Paul Clements - Drug and Alcohol Group worker and grateful recovering addict.

“As a student nurse in 2002 I went on a course provided by my Health Promotion Department, to do with Body Image and Self Esteem.  I remember feeling inspired that day by the facilitator, this was not the usual kind of course provided.  The difference was Michèle Snedden.  I was eager from that one meeting to work with her again; she had something about her that was different.

I attended many of the courses run by Michèle and was always impressed by the depth of learning that was made possible on a personal and professional level that could be achieved through her warm yet professional manner. I would come away from those days feeling inspired and always encouraged to take a risk into the unknown.  Motivated to look at how I could achieve things I maybe hadn’t yet had the courage to change.

I asked Michèle if she would be my Mentor in my experiential placement and I had the privilege of working alongside her.  Michèle provided me with robust supervision which helped me to identify my own goals and achievements.  She helped me to explore, accept and overcome my own foibles in an accepting and nurturing environment.  All of this was in 2002.

Since then I have got to know Michèle in a more personal capacity and she has shared with me her vision of being able to help people achieve their potential.  I have been impressed by her total commitment to her own spiritual development through meditation and her training which has taken place in so many areas, i.e. Natural Spiritual Healing, Yoga and Professional Counselling as well as her two Masters and Bachelor Degrees.  She has worked hard and had to grow in many ways herself.  She has met challenges with courage and faith.

I personally would have every faith in going to Michèle for continued help with my professional and personal development. She is truly a leader in her field and is fresh with new and up to date methods for helping us deal with the many challenges that can be presented to us in trying to balance our personal and professional lives in today’s busy climate.”
Joanne de Morree-Izard RMN (UK)

“Michele is a warm and powerful soul, who brings uplift and energy to all her work. She has given her life to healing and uplifting others. In my work with Michele, I have witnessed her support of colleagues, where she has helped them to identify their own strengths so that they can develop further.  Michele is wise and kind, and brings insight and skill to her work.”
